Meet the Team

  • Owner, Licensed Massage Therapist

I graduated from Center for Natural Wellness in 2018 and have since practiced full-time as a Licensed Massage Therapist in spa and clinical settings. I’m endlessly fascinated by bodies and I care deeply for the beings inside them, so I study often and listen well. My work is attuned, thorough, and informed by both the latest research and your unique experience of being in a body.

I’m proficient in several areas of massage and bodywork, including Swedish and deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy, cupping, orthopedic massage, and oncology massage. I’ve focused much of my continued training on chronic pain and injury conditions, and trauma-informed care. If you don’t know what any of that means for massage, that’s okay! I’ll bring what I know about the body, you bring what you know about your body, and we’ll go from there! What’s important to know about me is that, whether your goal is to relax or address a specific problem (or both!), I have the practical skills to help, the clinical prudence necessary to do that safely, and I genuinely care.

NYS License # 031158 (I am licensed under my legal name Melissa Grohosky. Please call me by my nickname Liza.)

  • Licensed Massage Therapist

Since graduating from Center for Natural Wellness in 2018, I have focused on a trauma-informed and therapeutic approach to massage. I tailor each session to your needs utilizing techniques including Swedish and sports massage, myofascial release, Shiatsu, and trigger point therapy. I am also trained as a Reiki practitioner, and combine an intuitive approach with a thorough understanding of the ways that the mind-body interrelates. When not guiding others into a deeper relationship with their bodies, you’ll find me in nature, crafting artwork, and going on adventures with my children.
